  • Obiettivi: At the end of this course, students will have been introduced to the basic bacterial laboratory techniques, and to the concepts of classification, evolution and growth of microorganisms. They are expected to have developed an understanding of microbial ecology, of practical uses of microorganisms, and how these relate to basic biological concepts. They should understand how microorganisms survive where they do, how they are related, and how they interact with us. Laboratory practice: students should acquire basic bacteriological skills and be able to successfully use them. They are expected to prepare and observe microscopic preparations, to aseptically work, and succeed in collecting and recording data obtained in simple laboratory experiments.
