History Of Medieval Philosophy A | Docente:
Cecilia Panti PHILOSOPHY AND SYSTEMS OF KNOWLEDGE IN THE MIDDLE AGES   The course is divided into two integrated parts: 1) institutional part: introduction to the main authors and themes of medieval philosophy (5th-14th centuries); 2) monographic part: the course focuses in particular on the plurality of philosophical systems developed during the medieval millennium, marked by the currents of Platonism, various branches of Aristotelianism, and the encounter with Arabic and Jewish philosophical thought. Since this is a required institutional course, attendance is strongly recommended. Non-attending working students should agree with the teacher for bibliographical supplements to be announced at the end of the course.   TEXTBOOKS - Pasquale Porro e Costantino Esposito, Filosofia antica e medievale, Laterza, Bari (solo la parte medievale). - Texts to be read in class, which will be distributed in advance (on Microsoft Teams classroom).
