Theatrical space and conventions in ancient Greece. Chor and actors. Word, music, performance. Aeschylus, Sophocles, Euripides. Aristophanes. Menander. Theater in ancient Rome. Historical and cultural context of tragic and comic performances in Rome. Plautus, Terentius, Seneca.

It is required the knowledge of following dramas: Aeschylus, Oresteia; Sophocles, Oedipus The King; Euripides, Hippolytus; Plautus, Miles gloriosus.
