TITLE:THE HISTORY OF THEATRICAL SCENE TECHNOLOGIES.

The first part of the course (Mod. A) will focus on the use of new technologies for the theatrical scene in the last decade of the nineteenth century until the thirties of the twentieth century. In the theater the directors, the scenographers  the architects used robots, mobile panels, film projections, three_dimensional space projections, treadmills, lights neon, screens of different sizes, mirror systems, etc.

History Of Contemporary Theatre B | Docente:

TITLE:THE HISTORY OF THEATRICAL SCENE TECHNOLOGIES.  

The second part of the course (Mod. B) traces a history of technological innovations in theatrical experimentation from the second half of the Sixties to the first decade of the twentyfirst century. The attention will be focused, in particular, on the synaesthetic experimentation of American artists, choreographers, architects and directors Milton Cohen, John Cage, Andy Warhol, Nam June Pike, Yoko Ono etc., and on the counterculture phenomenon of the "Summer of Love" in San Francisco in 1967, which marked a deep groove with traditional culture.
