BRIEF INTRODUCTION
Experimental physicist in applied physics and condensed-matter physics, with a background in theoretical and experimental nuclear physics. Research interests include: the measurement of neutron cross sections with applications to medical physics, radiation protection and engineer ing; the development of instrumentation for epithermal neutron spectroscopy with applications to cultural heritage; the adsorption and the catalysis of molecular hydrogen in porous materi als to be used in green transports; and the study of the single-particle dynamics and nuclear quantum effects in disordered and hydrogen-bonded systems.

EDUCATION
Ph.D. degree in Physics (27 May 2011; ISCED 8), University of Rome Tor Vergata (Italy) Thesis Title: “On the quantum contributions to phase transitions in water probed by inelastic neutron scattering”. Supervisors: Prof. C. Andreani and Prof. R. Senesi. The work of thesis focused on the study of the nuclear dynamics of hydrogen in several phases of light and heavy water, investigated by inelastic and deep-inelastic neutron scattering.
