  • Obiettivi: Development of knowledge and understanding of the following topics: 1-An introduction to the fundamental principles of bio-nanotechnology and nanoparticles, including the characterisation of nanoscale biomaterials through various techniques such as dynamic light scattering and microscopy. 2-Basic knowledge of the biomedical applications of nanoparticles, with particular focus on nano-bio interactions, biocompatibility, nanoparticle-based therapies for cancer, diabetes, neurodegenerative and infectious diseases, as well as their use in biomedical imaging. 3-Development of practical skills through a laboratory-based project, involving the preparation and characterisation of nanopharmaceutical formulations. 4-Development of critical analysis skills for the evaluation of peer-reviewed articles and reviews, specifically related to recent advances in nanoparticle-mediated drug delivery systems.
