  • Obiettivi: Sociology of communication In this course the relation of massmedia and communication will be discussed and the nexus of communication and interaction, language and rationality will be addressed. The main traditions of inquiry of the discipline will be reviewed and the main topics will be highlighted: the concept of mass, power, everyday life. The theoretical perspectives examined will be mainly those developed in the US before and after WWII, then media studies of the 60's and 70's and the theories of new media.
