- Prerequisiti: Knowledge of basic maths and elements of calculus.
- Obiettivi: LEARNING OUTCOMES: Provide students with basic concepts of classical physics to be used in the continuation of their studies; ability to understand and extend basic concepts in new scenarios. Develop an ability to generate and solve problems, also through application of simplifications and/or approximations. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: Students will be able to identify the essential elements of a physical problem and learn how to analyze it. APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: Ability to elaborate concepts useful even in the understanding of the inner workings of physical instruments and related laboratory techniques. MAKING JUDGEMENTS: Students shall be able to define independently models for simple problems and learn how tho analyze them. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Students are expected to speak clearly and fluently in English and able to master the language at a technical level, also in writing. LEARNING SKILLS: Students are expected to have a basic multi-disciplinary knowledge of science, and should be able to establish links between different subjects.
