- Obiettivi: LEARNING OUTCOMES: Concepts, tools, methods and fundamental results of statistical learning, with particular focus on the supervised case and problems in high dimensions. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: Mathematical formalization of machine learning, fundamental methods, basic theoretical results, open problems and applications in high dimensions. APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: Formalization and solution of real problems, typical statistical and computational problems in high dimensions. MAKING JUDGEMENTS: Evaluation of the most suitable models and methods for the practical resolution of problems, interpretation of the results.
