- Obiettivi: Goals: The teaching of "the Environmental Chemistry and Cultural Heritage" aims to clarify the role of the Chemist in the field of conservation of Cultural Heritage, highlighting the materials used in the field of art (paintings, stone and cellulosic based substrata), their degradation (through the understanding of the processes in homogeneous and heterogeneous phases, especially the chemical-physical interactions between pollutants and areas of historic and artistic interest), techniques for their restoration and analytical methods for their characterization. The course will develop: -knowledge about the activities of Maintenance and Restoration from the point of view of the law, design, implementation and technical direction of the work; -also impart basic knowledge about the nature of the main causes of deterioration of paper goods, including drawings ect.; -methods for conservation of work; -risk prevention and techniques of "disaster Manager" to be taken in the event of natural disasters or accidents of large masses of paper goods.
