Prerequisiti: It would be advisable for students to have some general knowledge of medieval and Byzantine history and Greek and Roman civilisations, even better if accompanied by a knowledge of at least one language, Greek or Latin. For dissertation purposes, the candidate is required to have passed at least one palaeography examination(M-STO/09) (after having followed a course).
Obiettivi: The course aims at integrating the elaboration of a formative outline concerning the ancient and medieval worlds in terms of history and civilisation. A study is made of the arcane universe of the handmade book over the centuries - its historical-social and philological importance, i.e., as a vector of texts, thought and their background.
Ricevimento: L'orario di RICEVIMENTO: I SEMESTRE: prima e dopo ogni lezione presso lo studio del docente (edificio B, piano 3, studio 42)
