- Prerequisiti: A fundamental prerequisite for attending this course is the successful completion of the Contemporary Art I exam.
- Obiettivi: LEARNING OUTCOMES: The primary objective of this course is to familiarize students with, and help them navigate, the main historical and critical methodologies applied to contemporary art. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: Through the reading of the discipline foundational texts, students will be able to understand the different interpretations and possible approaches to the study of contemporary art. APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: Throughout the course, students will take an active role in the analysis of the assigned texts and in the comprehension of the discussed methodologies, and will begin to apply these tools to their own interpretations of artworks and phenomena in the history of contemporary art. MAKING JUDGEMENTS: The course structure, which includes numerous opportunities for discussion and active student participation, is entirely aimed at fostering students�� critical autonomy and independent judgment in the interpretation of works of contemporary art. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: During the lectures, the foreseen moments of active discussion are explicitly aimed at developing communicative and critical skills in the participating students, particularly through the construction and the use of a specific and scientific vocabulary. LEARNING SKILLS: The course primary aim is to foster in students the development of an independent methodology that can be applied in the future to any topic or phenomenon related to contemporary art.
