Obiettivi: LEARNING OUTCOMES:The course gives the students a know-how in the Analytical Chemistry field and more precisely in the use, development and study of biosensors and of their applications in the clinical, food and environmental fields. The course will give the general principles of optical and electrochemical biosensors based on the use of enzymes, DNA and antibodies as biological recognition elements. The course will also have lab experiments and seminars. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: The student will have a deep know-how of the general principles and use of optical and electrochemical biosensors. APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: The student will have the necessary know-how to prepare and utilize biosensors and evaluate their responsive behaviour.
