Generali:
- Dipartimento: Scienze Matematiche, Fisiche E Naturali
- Settore Ministeriale: CHIM/01
- Codice di verbalizzazione: 8067411
- Metodi di insegnamento: Frontale E Altro
- Metodi di valutazione: Scritto E Orale
- Prerequisiti: Knowledge of general chemistry
- Obiettivi: LEARNING OUTCOMES: The course aims at providing the students with the fundamental knowledge of the principles and techniques of analytical chemistry, in order to provide students the necessary skills to solve analytical problems, like identification and quantification of components. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: Students must demonstrate a good knowledge of general chemistry and chemical equilibria in aqueous solution, and also to have reached the following objectives: - set chemical reactions and mathematical equations in order to solve analytical problems; - understand different analytical methods (both classical and instrumental), that will be employed in the laboratory part of the course; - understand the importance of analytical chemistry in medications and practice it as pharmacists. APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: Students must be able to apply the knowledge acquired during frontal lessons in practical exercises. Students will also have the opportunity to verify and apply their theoretical knowledge during laboratory activities. MAKING JUDGEMENTS: During laboratory activities students have the opportunity to demonstrate the ability to collect and understand data, but also to independently and critically verify the principles and concepts studied. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Students are expected to speak clearly and fluently in English with an appropriate technical language. They will be able to describe the main principles and techniques of analytical chemistry. LEARNING SKILLS: The exam will consist in a written interview, aimed at verifying the level of knowledge of the topics covered during the frontal lesson. The final evaluation is expressed out of thirty and is defined taking into account: - the degree of knowledge acquisition (35% of the score) - the ability to synthesize and correlate the various topics (35% of the score) - the understanding and the ability to interpret the acquired knowledge (30% of the score).
