Obiettivi: The main objective of the course is to discuss the role of fluid machinery in Medical applications with particular reference to the operating machines. The fundamental aspects of the design and engineering of these machines will be addressed and the issues of their integration in the different operating environments. The concepts will be introduced mainly through discussion of examples arising from applications in the Medical field. At the end of the course the student will have acquired the skills necessary to analyze the problems of the machines integration, to independently make design choices, evaluate the energy performance resulting from them, as well as for the basic design of the components analyzed.
