  • Obiettivi: LEARNING OUTCOMES: The MA "Art History in Rome" is conceived as a research laboratory, where students acquire the opportunity to face the intellectual challenges set by the articulations of art history. According to this framework, the present course is oriented to enhance the ability to develop interpretative tools, in order to decipher the complexity of the contemporary world on the basis of competences deriving from an in-depth study. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: Knowledge of the topics that constitute the subject of the course; knowledge of the specific methods of analysis involved in these topics; acquisition of the skill to understand theories and models of art theory. APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: acquisition of argumentative skills about the topics studied; ability to set up theoretical and non-theoretical problems and to propose solutions making use of the tools of a rational way of argumentation. MAKING JUDGEMENTS: ability to understand, interpret, and deal with the issues presented during the course; ability to make independent judgments on these issues, considered not only in their specialised aspects but also in relation to a broader cultural horizon.
