  • Obiettivi: The aim of the course is to introduce the students to the basic principles of the experimental approach used in modern laboratories in the biomedical field. The course will be divided in two parts. The topics of the first part will cover an overall analysis of the research process, from finding a research hypothesis and defining a suitable topic to perform literature surveys using available med lines. The students will learn how to conduct the research to test the hypothesis and how to select different research methods and experimental models. The second part will provide insights on the laboratory techniques that are recommended for the analysis of a biomedical research project, including the more common biochemical and immunological methods and a description of the most used cellular and animal models.
