  • Obiettivi: The final learning aim of the course concerns the ability of the learners to develop and apply simple physical models that describe the behavior of practical solid state systems, such as engineered materials, devices and sensors. Intermediate objectives are: 1. Ability to set up the correct physical approximations, 2. Understanding the implications of the applied approximations on the reliability of predicted results. 3. Capability to give a mathematical description of the physical problem. 4. Capability to manage the mathematical machinery for the solution of the problem.
