Obiettivi: Highlight the key aspects of the energy problem in modern society, with particular reference to environmental aspects. Analyze the fundamental characteristics of pocesses used to transform natural energy sources into useful forms of energy Describe in detail the principles of operation of energy conversion plant and the methods that are used to optimize operation Describe the energy transformation processes that take place in fluid machinery At the end of the course the student will have gained the ability to assess the performances of the energy production processes and components used for this purpose. The sutudent will also be able to assess from a macroscopic point of view their impacts on the environment
