BREVE BIOGRAFIA   Claudio Milano è un antropologo sociale con una formazione economica. È ricercatore Ramón y Cajal presso il Dipartimento di Antropologia sociale dell'Università di Barcellona. È co-presidente della Commissione sull'antropologia del turismo dell'Unione internazionale delle scienze antropologiche ed etnologiche (IUAES) e membro dell'Editorial Review Board degli Annals of Tourism Research (Elsevier). È inoltre membro del gruppo di ricerca sull'antropologia delle crisi e delle trasformazioni contemporanee (CRITS) dell'Università di Barcellona e dell'Osservatorio per l'antropologia dei conflitti urbani (OACU). La sua principale area di specializzazione è l'economia politica del turismo. La sua ricerca approfondisce le dinamiche dei processi di turisticizzazione, esplorando come le società rispondono e resistono a questi cambiamenti attraverso politiche e movimenti sociali. Il suo lavoro è stato ampiamente diffuso in inglese, spagnolo, portoghese e italiano attraverso pubblicazioni in rinomate riviste scientifiche internazionali ed editoriali.
